I am a bilingual literary translator (Spanish-English), a translation studies scholar, and a publishing consultant. I specialize in Latin American contemporary literature and nonfiction texts on art and culture. I am currently the Translation Editor-at-Large at Latin American Literature Today and the PEN/Heim Translation Fund jury chair. I serve on the Board of Directors of the American Literary Translators Association, and I am a founding member of the Third Coast Translators Collective. I have a Phd in Literature & Cultural Studies from Georgetown University, and I am former Associate Professor in the Modern Languages & Literatures Department at Lake Forest College. I divide my time between my native Buenos Aires and the city of Chicago. Thanks for being here!

I am the winner of the 2025 inaugural Paula de Roma Translation Prize from the Facultad de Lenguas at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in Argentina in the unpublished manuscript category for my Spanish translation of Idra Novey’s novel Ways to Disappear.
